Real Change: Research on the Recognition of Violence in Youth Care
For this project, I created an animation to help share research about the recognition of violence in Dutch youth care.
The study, carried out by the University of Humanistic Studies, looked at how survivors felt about the government’s recent attempts to acknowledge what happened to them. Many appreciated the gesture, but also shared that real recognition can only happen when the violence truly stops and long-term change is made.
In my animation, I focused on bringing these feelings and experiences forward in a gentle, honest way — making the research more accessible and helping viewers connect to the human stories behind the findings.
